We will learn about App Builder, how to create App and Tabs in Salesforce, Customizing Page Layouts using Record Types, and Mini and compact Page Layouts.
App Manager
- An app is a collection of items that serve a particular function.
- You can find your available custom apps in the App Launcher
Tab
Custom tabs let you display custom object data or other web content in Salesforce.
Record Types & Page Layouts
Page Layouts: – control the layout and organization of buttons, fields, s-controls, Visualforce, custom links, and related lists on object record pages. They also help determine which fields are visible, read-only, and required. Use page layouts to customize the content of record pages for your users.
Record Types: – let you offer different business processes, picklist values
Related Lists
- They are used to see the information about all child records related to parent records.
- PageLayout controls them.
List Views
List view lets you to view the filtered set of records of an object. For
example, Account, Contact, Custom Object & etc.
Compact Page Layouts & Mini Page Layout
- The compact page layout displays the record’s key field in a single glance in both the Salesforce Mobile app and the Salesforce Lightning environment.
- You can define mini-page layouts for the records appearing in the Agent console’s mini view, hover details, and event overlays.
Lightning App Builder
- Lightning App Builder is a Point & Click Tool to create Records, Apps and home pages.
- In Lightning, Details pages are known as Lightning Record Pages.
- We can use Lightning App Builder to give users in a single place what they need.
- With the help of Lightning app builder, a complete application can be developed which is compatible with both mobile and Lightning.
